AIRSOFT SAFETY - A few pointers for players old and new!

Hey guys!

As much as we love getting out on the airsoft field and taking shots at our friends with plastic BBs, safety should always be our top priority.

So, let's talk about some important safety tips to keep in mind:

  1. Always wear protective gear. We're talking eye protection, face protection, and anything else you need to keep yourself safe from flying BBs. Remember – you MUST wear eye protection – by law. AND you must never remove your eye protection in a game zone! Trust me, you don't want to end up with a permanent reminder of that one time you removed your eye pro in game. We have some excellent eye protectionface protection and helmets in store that would be perfect for use indoors and outdoors.
  1. Be aware of your surroundings. Before you start shooting, take a look around and make sure there are no innocent bystanders in the line of fire. And if you see someone wandering into the action, shout a marshal and make sure people around you aware of the situation.
  1. Don't be a bad sport. This one's pretty simple - don't shoot people at point-blank range, don't aim for the head – unless it is all you can see of them and don't shoot people who have already taken their hits and on the flip side - take your hits!
  1. Follow the rules. 'Mags out in the safe zone' is extremely important! Every airsoft field will have their own set of safety guidelines, so make sure you know them and follow them. And if you see someone breaking the rules, call them out on it - we're all in this together.

Remember, airsoft is all about having fun, but it's not worth risking your safety (or the safety of others) for a game. Stay safe out there, call your hits and happy shooting!
